"... each of the six creation days could have lasted for thousands of years."
D'oh! Thousands of years does sound like a long time, but for any science-literate person, this is a gross understatement for the 13.8 billion year old universe. But, they're getting there.
The next part reminded me of Bill Nye vs. Ken Ham. They start off with an explanation of evolution that reminds us that its supported by nonbelievers, its mindless, and that even some believers are starting to accept it! Scary. Then, I look down to see the conclusion that:
The theory of evolution is the thought that life evolved from a common ancestor. The initial life form were simple cells, and with mutation and the process of natural selection, new species were created over time. The most fit species were the ones that survived, and so all species on Earth are connected from a base organism. The word "kind" in the conclusion from the Jehovah's Witness is a made up term to confuse theists into thinking they are being scientifically accurate. By accepting some type of microevolution theory, they are putting off the time which they will have to accept it in macro terms. Yes, this means giving into the mindless order of the universe.
But, hey... baby steps.
